DMG provides a Preventative Management Program (PMP) for Healthcare Facilities such as: hospital, clinics, dental offices, dialysis centers, childcare, senior & other healthcare centers across the US with building maintenance inspections and periodic health risk assessments.
DMG's PMP includes inspecting the current building for deferred or hazardous conditions and testing of water & air throughout each facility to uphold proper standard-of-care protocol to improve patient safety, lower infection rates, and ultimately lower patient mortality.
DMG trains healthcare staff to follow the proper protocol to help minimize the overall impact to the facility and to recognize potential source(s) to prevent cross-contamination. Proper management helps to keep each healthcare facility in compliance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) established guidelines for infection control procedures, including EPA Guidelines and OSHA.
DMG's 3 step PMP service includes:
- Evaluating the facilities data, current operating procedures and any planned future renovation to create baseline data sampling protocol for each facility. This is a no charge assessment/evaluation.
- Based on the site-specific needs, an inspection and sampling event will be scheduled and a cost proposal given. Number of samples will largely depend on size of the facility, the number of beds and number of rooms.
- After DMG's initial assessment, a periodic (typically bi annual) scheduled health risk assessment is implemented.
Testing of each facility may include the following:
- Malt Extract Agar (MEA) Airborne Culturables sampling
- Total Airborne Fungal Spore Sampling
- Source (Swab) Sampling for Bacteria and/or fungal
- Moisture evaluation, including Relative Humidity (RH) measurement per ASHREA guidelines
- Endotoxin Sampling
- Bacterial Sampling including, but not limited to, Contact Plates
- Water Sampling for Legionella
- Asbestos & Lead Sampling (for facilities requiring remedial action to comply with EPA and OSHA)
